Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes! Friends of Bourbonnais Township Park District is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your contribution that you can use for tax purposes.

How does this foundation differ from the Bourbonnais Township Park District?

While we work closely together, Friends of the Bourbonnais Township Park District is a separate nonprofit organization established to accept donations and raise funds for projects and programs that enhance what the park district can offer. The park district is a government entity funded primarily through tax revenue, while this foundation relies entirely on charitable contributions from community members like you.

Where does my donation go?

Your donation directly supports scholarship programs for families who need financial assistance, capital improvements to park facilities and equipment, and special programs and events that might not otherwise be possible through the park district's regular budget. Our board works closely with park district leadership to identify the areas of greatest need.

Can I designate my donation for a specific purpose?

Yes! If you have a particular program, facility, or initiative you'd like to support, you can designate your donation accordingly. We're happy to work with you to ensure your gift makes an impact in the area you care most about.

Who can apply for a scholarship?

Families in need of financial assistance to participate in Bourbonnais Township Park District programs are encouraged to apply for scholarship opportunities. Contact the park district directly for information about the application process and eligibility requirements.
